The night of the wedding. Leah Walsh sat by the bed. Her heart filled with bitterness. Melissa Walsh didn't want to marry the disfigured young master of the Harper family, so their father asked Leah to replace Melissa. Then, Leah was brought into the Harper manor like a hidden bride. No wedding and no guests. Leah was disappointed in the Walsh family. Leah was then startled by the sound of the door opening. She looked up and saw a man with a pair of dark and sharp eyes. It was Elliot Harper. Leah's newly-wedded husband. Elliot was tall, but he didn't look clumsy. He had a refined figure and his lips pursed. He looked cold and haughty like an eagle in the night sky. Elliot was good-looking, but his charm was destroyed by the scar that cut through his forehead to his chin. It added a sense of roughness to his look. Leah looked away when she realized he was staring at her. Suddenly, Elliot said, "You're not Melissa." The woman sitting in front of him was way prettier than Melissa. Instinctively, Leah did a few hand signals. Elliot frowned, "What are you doing?" Leah was stunned. She then realized Elliot didn't understand hand signals. She smiled awkwardly and took out the paper and pen she brought to write down what she wanted to tell Elliot. The next second, Elliot looked colder and crueler. He sneered, "What is this? Samuel Walsh knew I wanted Melissa, but he sent a dumb illegitimate daughter to me instead?" Leah's heart skipped a beat when she heard the word 'dumb illegitimate daughter'. She slowly looked down. Elliot suddenly raised Leah's chin. He sounded cold, "You Walsh-es think you're going get away with it?" Leah clenched her fists. Elliot looked furious. Was he going to chase her out of the house? What was going to happen to grandmother's medical fees then? Leah wanted to explain, but she could hardly breathe with Elliot staring at her coldly. Leah felt hopeless. Suddenly, Elliot said, "Come here." Did he… Wanted her to stay? Leah was glad at first, but she became nervous when she thought about what was going to happen next. Her palm was sweating as well. Elliot thought Leah was having a second thought when he saw her hesitated. He said calmly, "I wasn't very happy with what Samuel did, but since you're married to me, you've got to fulfill a wife's duty." Leah bit her lips. She laid down and turned her face away from Elliot. Elliot teased her, "I meant help me in the shower." Leah was flushed red. She got up from the bed and saw Elliot was watching her embarrassing actions. Leah was enraged. Did this feel funny for him? Elliot squinted his eyes and said in a coarse voice, "What are you waiting for?" Leah put her emotions away and slowly walked towards Elliot. She scratched Elliot unintentionally with her fingernails. Elliot grasped Leah's wrist and approached her, "Did you do that on purpose?" Leah was stunned. Then, she shook her head. Her innocent eyes filled with confusion. Elliot stared at Leah. She reminded him of another woman who also had a pair of innocent eyes. He remembered the Walsh family who destroyed the owner of that pair of innocent eyes. Elliot sneered, "I didn't want to do anything to you at first, but since you wanted it, I'll have to fulfill your wish."
